My name is Christel – Danish Things is the blog where I write about food, cakes, and creativity.
My purpose is to inspire your everyday life – from this year’s parties to everyday recipes.
And of course, give you some Danish hygge – especially for Christmas.

You will find:

  • Paper decorations for special occasions like Christmas and fastelavn.
  • Food, cakes, desserts and decoration for this year’s parties and birthdays.
  • Recipes for easy everyday food, from breakfast to snacks – my other recipes are mostly in Danish so I’ve added Google translate
  • Recipes for delicious Danish cakes, snacks, sweets, and desserts for everyday and party.

Why creativity?

Professionally I have worked with creativity all my adult life, both as a teacher, as a designer selling jewellery and handbags through a design network called Freestyle Factory, and in my private life – creativity means a lot to me.

That is why I want to inspire you to have more creativity in your everyday life.
Whether you are trying new recipes, decorating a layer cake, or making a Christmas decorating.

The most important thing for me is that you can use the inspiration to make things yourself.
Hopefully, I can take you by the hand, and show you what to do, so you can be successful in creating things at home.

Welcome to Danish Things.

About me:

I am the mother of Christian (born 2005) and I’ve known his father Bo since I was 19.

I have taken various jewellery courses, and sold homemade jewellery and bags, among other things through the “Freestyle Factory” design network – see photos of my jewellery from Danish magazines “Alt for damerne” and “Femina”.

I love to travel – preferably to the United States with my family, to London with my sister or on a trip to a place in Europe with Bo…

I haven’t translated all my Danish posts.
Email me if you want to have an English version of any post and I will try to translate it as fast as possible.
